Garden Pipe is a modular rainwater harvesting system that captures and stores surface rainwater runoff for outdoor irrigation. Each module is sized to allow easy installation and replacement. Choosing the right material for our product that is sustainable is one of our top priorities. We don’t want the product to end up in the landfill at the end of its lifecycle. Garden pipe will produce zero waste/minimum impact on the environment.
The outer shell of each module is made up of Bamboo Panels due to the following reasons:
- Bamboo is a sustainable plant as it is rapidly renewable. Bamboo matures in 6 years whereas timber takes 15-20 years.
- Bamboo has 3 times more structural capacity than timber.
- Bamboo helps eliminate soil erosion and can be harvested without replanting due to its root structure.
- Bamboo products can be manufactured formaldehyde free.
- The bamboo species that would be selected don’t serve as food source or habitat for any animals.
The inner thin liner and smaller connections for each module is made up of 100% recyclable Virgin, food grade, UV stabilized polyethylene. The use of recyclable plastic helps to avoid the plastic ending-up in the landfill.
REDUCE: We will offer free design consultation about the amount of water the customer ideally require, so they only buy number of modules they actually need.
REPLACEMENT: Due to its modular design there is no need to replace the whole system. The customer can just mail us the module and we will fix it for free.
REUSE & RECYCLE: Garden Pipe encourages customers to return back the old modules that they no longer need. We then reuse some of the parts and remake new modules to reduce the cost
DUAL FUNCTIONALITY: Due to its design, when the modules connect it becomes garden furniture, this reduces the need to buy extra garden furniture. That will drastically reduce landfill contribution.
